5 cross-country-ski trails to do in the Three Peaks region
Loop trail with a view over the Three Peaks in Toblach
This easy circular track is about 3 km long and goes around the Lake of Landro, providing stunning views over the Three Peaks.
Innichen – Toblach and back
Departure is from the Baranci chairlift, about 2 minutes walking from our hotel in Innichen, and you can choose two different, but easy trails to reach Toblach: through the woods and across the fields. The cross-country-ski trail is about 7 km and you need about 3 hours.
From Piano Val Fiscalina to Fondo Valle in Sexten
This easy cross-country-ski trail is located in one of the most beautiful valleys in the world: the Fiscalina Valley. During the excursion, you admire the natural sundial of Sexten.
High altitude trail in Prato Piazza
You can’t miss the cross-country-ski trails of Prato Piazza, located at 2.000 meters above the sea level in the Natural Reserve of Fanes-Sennes-Braies.
Pusteral Loipe Sillian – Lienz
This cross-country-ski trail is about 30 km and goes from Sillian to Lienz. Even though is pretty long, this trail is suitable for all because it’s slightly descending to Lienz. Please consider you need at least 5 hours to do it all. We don’t recommend the other way round because you need to be trained.
You can find more cross-country-ski trails in the dedicated section of the Drei Zinnen site here.
