The imposing, rocky peaks of the Majestic Baranci mountain range with their mesmerizing and ever changing colors and their feet firmly planted in lush green pastures in Summer and white ski slopes in Winter. On the other side we see the sunlit Mount San Candido, dotted with original, working farmsteads. Our hotel is located in the city center, only 3-minutes walk from the Baranci ski resort. The skiing mountains of Mount Elmo, Croda Rossa, Orto del Toro, Plan de Corones and Val Comelico are easily reached from San Candido by bus or train.

This part of the Dolomites is appreciated both in Summer and Winter because it offers many different activities, suitable for all. Actually the area is renowned as Italy’s number one cross-country skiing destinations, with over 200 km of perfectly prepared cross-country tracks with panoramic views of the Dolomites. Snowshoeing and winter hiking are also very popular here, with easy paths suitable for gentle walks and short excursions.

There are also plenty of summer sports to do while in San Candido, thanks to the many side valleys and peaks that surrounding the town. There are walking and trekking paths for every level, as well as mountain bike, horseback riding and rock climbing options.
