We love Christmas Markets and you? We cannot resist the scent of mulled wine and cinnamon, and the charm of Christmas lights and decorations, that’s why we love to visit the Christmas markets in Alto Adige.

Here below we listed our favorite Christmas Markets in the Dolomites and most of them will be open from November 24th 2023 to January 6th.

The Chirstmas Market of Bolzano

Christmas Market of Bolzano

Bolzano is the main city of Alto Adige and its Xmas market is one of the most important in the Dolomites. Held in the city center, it lights up the beautiful Piazza Walther from the end of November til the first week of January. The typical wooden houses host local artisans, food specialties, Christmas decorations, and many other traditional products.

In 2023 the Christmas Market of Bolzano will be open every day from November 24th to January 6th with the following opening hours:

• Monday to Thursday 11 am – 7 pm
• Friday, Saturday, Sunday and holidays 10 am -7 pm
• Special schedules: December 24th, 10 am – 2 pm, Christmas Day closed, December 31st, 10 am – 6 pm, January 1st, 12 pm – 7 pm

Christmas Market of Brunico

The city of Brunico is full of history and beautiful attractions, like the ancient Castle and the famous Stadtgasse renowned as the most fascinating street for shopping in Alto Adige. The Christmas Market is held in the city center in Via Bastioni and Ragen Sopra.

In 2023 the Christmas market of Brunico will be open every day from November 24th to January 6th with the following opening hours:

• Monday to Sunday and holidays 10 am – 7 pm
• Special schedules: December 24th, 10 am – 2 pm, Christmas Day closed, December 31st, 10 am – 7 pm, January 1st, 10 am – 7 pm
• Gastronomy opens from Sunday to Thursday 10 am–8 pm, Friday, Saturday & pre-holidays 10 am – 9 pm

The Festive Food Market of Dobbiaco

The lovely town of Dobbiaco is located just a few minutes drive from our Boutique Hotel in San Candido. Every year it hosts an enchanting food market in the city center. There you can buy and taste local specialties, as well as buy typical products during Christmas time.

In 2023 the Christmas Market of Dobbiaco, also known as the Drei Zinnen Christmas Market, will be open every day from November 24th to January 6th with the following opening hours:

• Fridays 4 pm – 9 pm
• Saturday, Sunday and holidays 11 am – 9 pm
• Special schedules: December 9th, 11 am – 12 am, December 22nd, 4 pm – 12 am, Christmas Day closed, December 31st, 11 am – 2 am

The Christmas Market of San Candido

Located just a few steps from our hotel in the city center of San Candido, the Christmas market brings sparkle and joy to town. The enchanting atmosphere, the selected handmade creations, and the traditional food mark an unmissable event for us.
